TOYOTA YARIS Description

The "Yaris" is a compact hatchback car launched in 1999. In Japan, it was originally sold under the name Vitz, but from the 4th generation launched in 2020, the name was unified to Yaris, which had been used as the overseas name. The Yaris shifted its direction from the Vitz's characteristics of spacious living space and usability, appealing to a broad audience, to features like meticulously crafted design and driving performance. While this change risked disappointing traditional Vitz fans, by offering a wide range of variations conscious of diverse user needs, it successfully captured a larger user base. Developed under the concept "Light, Small, Easy to Handle," the Yaris is characterized by its ease of driving, making it accessible even for those not very confident in driving. It also gained attention for being the first compact car to adopt Toyota's new platform, TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture). The Yaris offers three powertrain options: a 1.0L gasoline engine, a 1.5L gasoline engine, and a 1.5L + motor hybrid system. Grades include the entry model "X," mid-range model "G," and top model "Z," each available for both gasoline and hybrid versions. Gasoline models primarily feature CVT, with a 6-speed MT also available, while hybrid models are equipped with an electric continuously variable transmission. Two drive systems, 2WD and 4WD, are offered, with the hybrid models adopting E-Four (electric 4WD). A key feature is the standard inclusion of Toyota's advanced safety technology, "Toyota Safety Sense." Furthermore, it was the first Toyota car to adopt the "Toyota Teammate [Advanced Park (with Panoramic View Monitor function)]," an advanced parking support system that assists with parallel and perpendicular parking and can record even unmarked parking spaces for future automated smooth assistance. A rich variety of body colors is available, including 11 monotone colors like "Super White II," "Black," and "White Pearl Crystal Shine," plus 4 two-tone options featuring a black roof.
