The Toyota "86" is a 2-door, 4-seater compact coupe whose sales began in April 2012. This car was developed aiming for a highly hobby-oriented sports car, under the slogan "Built by passion, not by committee!" This vehicle emphasizes driving fun, designed with a low center of gravity and light weight. It is a joint development vehicle with Subaru, making it a sibling car to the Subaru "BRZ." Grades available for the model released in July 2018 include the "GR Sport," the entry model of the company's sports car brand "GR," available with either a 6-speed AT or 6-speed MT drive system. This model inherits exclusive spoilers and meters from the "GR" brand's interior and exterior, and is equipped with exclusive aluminum wheels and a dedicated combination meter with a logo.
