SUZUKI JIMNY_SIERRA Description

Suzuki's "Jimny Sierra" is an off-road vehicle enhanced for functionality and capability as a four-wheel-drive vehicle. The first generation was born in 1970, and the latest current model is the 4th generation. This generation includes grades such as "JC," "JL," and "JL Suzuki Safety Support equipped vehicle." It is equipped with the newly developed K15B engine (1.5L DOHC intake VVT). This engine pursues powerful torque, elevating the Jimny's excellent off-road performance to another dimension. Two transmission types are selectable: a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission. As proof of a genuine 4WD, it inherits the ladder frame structure capable of withstanding any environment, while evolving to have an even more robust structure. The FR layout, placing the engine behind the front tires, secures the necessary approach angle for overcoming steep obstacles. The "Jimny Sierra" also adopts a transfer case allowing switching between 2WD and 4WD according to road conditions. This provides a direct operational feel of the transfer lever, enhancing the driver's enthusiasm for driving. Part-time 4WD is adopted precisely because it drives in harsh environments. Its high extrication performance allows for confident driving. The suspension also has unique "Jimny Sierra" characteristics. Inheriting the basic structure, the suspension uses the proven 3-link rigid axle type, enabling driving even on rough roads. Furthermore, advanced safety equipment is adopted, making it easy and safe to drive. Safety equipment includes Dual Sensor Brake Support. This function detects the risk of collision with vehicles or pedestrians ahead and warns the driver with a buzzer sound and display on the meter. It also features a traffic sign recognition function that displays speed limit signs on the meter to notify the driver. The exterior of the "Jimny Sierra" also has significant features, including a clamshell hood that enhances bonnet strength, and a square body with upright glass surfaces to prevent snow buildup on the sides.
