Subaru's "Legacy Touring Wagon" is the touring wagon type vehicle of the "Legacy" series. The name "Legacy" means "great inheritance" in English, embodying the intention to pass on the company's cultivated horizontally-opposed engine and passenger car four-wheel drive technology to future generations. It has boasted excellent practicality and high driving performance since its launch. In 1998, the 3rd generation underwent a full model change under the development theme "Perfecting the Legacy," and all grades became 4WD vehicles. Grades available for the 5th generation model released in April 2014 include "2.5i EyeSight S Package," "2.0GT DIT," and "2.0GT DIT EyeSight." The body size of this vehicle is upper-middle class with a total width of 1780mm. Black-based colors are used for the interior and exterior, emphasizing high performance. Body colors include "Crystal Black Silica," "Dark Gray Metallic," and "Ice Silver Metallic." Special editions include the "2.5i EyeSight S Package Premium Leather Selection," available on the model released in November 2012, and the "2.5i B SPORT," "2.5i B SPORT EyeSight," and "2.5i B SPORT EyeSight G Package," available on the model released in April 2014.
