The "Skyline" is a car released by Fuji Precision Industries in 1957. Fuji Precision Industries changed its name to Prince Motors in 1961 and merged with Nissan Motor Co. in 1966, but the car's name was carried over and production continues to this day. The 12th generation model, released in 2006, underwent a full model change based on the concept of "Super Alluring, Super Refined, Super High Performance." It adopted a new platform that achieved a lower center of gravity by lowering the engine mounting position while retaining the benefits of the FM package. While body variations such as coupes and hatchbacks existed previously, it is currently available only as a sports sedan. Regarding the interior of the model released in December 2017, the horn pad was made smaller, and the thicker steering grip improves handling feel, while matte chrome spokes add a sporty touch. An ambient lighting system, creating a sense of luxury, is available as a manufacturer option. Available body colors include standard "Super Black" and "Dark Metal Gray," as well as the optional "HAGANE Blue." Special editions for this car include the "200GT-t Type P Cool Exclusive" and "350GT Hybrid Type P Cool Exclusive," which were available on the model released in November 2016. The information in this description is current as of September 2018.
