The "S-Class" is a luxury car whose first generation was the W116 model launched in 1972. It is touted as "the pinnacle born from the philosophy and passion Mercedes has built up" and serves as the flagship model of the Mercedes-Benz brand. Body types for this car include sedan and coupe bodies. The 6th generation model, released in October 2013, underwent a full model change to the W222 type aiming for a "new era prestige car" based on the concepts of "Intelligent Drive = innovative technology equipped with intelligence," "Energizing Comfort = ultimate comfort," and "Efficient Technology = thorough pursuit of efficiency improvement," and included hybrid specification vehicles in the lineup. This model features improvements in comfort and safety, such as the adoption of a new wide large screen for the "COMAND system" infotainment system and the addition of new functions to the "Radar Safety Package" driving support system. The model released in September 2018 includes the "S400d," "S400d 4MATIC," "S400d Long," and "S400d 4MATIC Long," equipped with the clean diesel engine "OM656," known for high output, low vibration, and high quietness. Available body colors for this model include "Magnetite Black," "Obsidian Black," "Diamond Silver," and "Iridium Silver." Special editions for this car include the "S550 Long Premium Sport" and "S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe Edition 1," available on the model released in October 2014.
