The "G-Class" is an SUV that first appeared in 1979, originating from the military vehicle "Gelandewagen." The first model was developed aiming for "a model combining outstanding off-road performance and safety with world-class comfort." It excels in off-road capability, and its sturdy body and basic components have been passed down through minor changes without alteration. In Japan, the short-body "300GD" was first imported in 1983. The grade available for the model released in July 2018 includes the diesel specification "G350d." Regarding the suspension system, a coil spring type rigid axle is adopted both front and rear. For body colors, vibrant special exterior colors like "Yellowstone," "Pearl Blue," and "Tourmaline Green" were added, allowing selection from a total of 15 colors.
