Mazda's "Roadster" is a two-seater open sports car offered through the Eunos channel starting in 1989. The first model was named "Eunos Roadster," but the name changed to "Mazda Roadster" from the second generation. The first model of this car was promoted with the keyword "Jinba Ittai" (horse and rider as one), and in 2000, it was certified by Guinness World Records as the "world's best-selling two-seater small open sports car." The second-generation model compensated for weight increases due to body strengthening and enhanced safety equipment through thorough weight reduction of various parts, achieving high driving performance. The current latest model, released in July 2018, includes grades such as "S," "S Special Package," and "RS," as well as the special edition "Caramel Top."
