LEXUS LS Description

The "LS" is a sedan-type car sold primarily in the US since 1989 as Lexus's top-of-the-line vehicle. In Japan, the first to third generations were sold under the name "Celsior." A concept model exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2005 began domestic sales in September 2006, corresponding to the 4th generation. The full model change for the 5th generation model released in October 2017 was developed under the concept "The symbol of LEXUS, carrying innovative design, emotional driving, and advanced technology," newly adopting the "GA-L" platform. This model transforms driving performance and styling by incorporating numerous advanced technologies while securing sedan-like livability and featuring a coupe-like form. Adopting large-diameter tires successfully creates a powerful presence. Grades available for the model released in August 2018 include "LS500," "LS500 F SPORT," and "LS500h." The braking system for this vehicle uses ventilated discs both front and rear, and the vehicle weight ranges from 2150kg to 2390kg. Special editions for this car include the "LS460 Special Edition F SPORT X Line" and "LS600h Special Edition F SPORT X Line," available on the model released in January 2015.
